AFRC sent the attached letter to the Oregon Delegation and Congressional leaders urging action on a bipartisan, comprehensive forest management approach instead of setting aside hundreds of thousands of acres for no-management designations like wilderness. In the wake of one of the most devastating and costly wildfire years in Oregon, members of the Oregon Delegation continue to push for more “protection” of fire-prone, overstocked forests without providing tools or resources to help reduce catastrophic wildfires, smoke, and public safety risks.
