Greg Hibbard
Staff Attorney

Greg Hibbard serves as Staff Attorney, where he contributes to AFRC’s legal program in both state and federal courts and provides support to the organization’s policy and advocacy work.

Greg previously clerked with AFRC from 2018–2019 before embarking on a legal career focused on natural resources and timber law. He worked as a judicial clerk for the Oregon Court of Appeals, assisting in drafting published opinions and gaining valuable insight into judicial decision-making. He then practiced for more than four years with Northwest Resource Law in Portland and Seattle, where he represented AFRC and its members in timber sale litigation on Washington State trust lands. His work also included significant cases involving the Endangered Species Act, NEPA, fisheries, and aquaculture, giving him broad experience in environmental and natural resources litigation.

A native of Olympia, Washington, Greg earned degrees in Geosciences and Economics from Pacific Lutheran University, a J.D. from the University of Washington, and an LL.M. in Environmental, Natural Resources, and Energy Law from Lewis & Clark Law School. He and his wife live in Issaquah, Washington with their young daughter and beagle, where they enjoy the region’s hiking and camping opportunities.
